This three-part workshop series is perfect for beginners and anyone curious about horseback riding who is not sure where to begin.

This series consists of three one-hour sessions. Participants will learn the fundamentals of horse care and daily maintenance, safe handling and movement around horses, an overview of riding disciplines and styles, and essential riding skills. 

Instruction includes how to properly mount, walk, steer, and stop a horse with confidence.

Horses, tack, and helmets are provided. The first session is a ground-based lesson with no riding.

Cost: $300

Each lesson is customized to both the horse and rider, making instruction effective for beginners as well as experienced riders. David offers thoughtful, individualized coaching with a focus on horsemanship, skill development, and clear communication.

Lessons include approximately 30 minutes of mounted instruction, along with 15 to 30 minutes of pre- and post-lesson discussion, for a total session time of one hour.

Lesson Rates:

• $75 per lesson at Rainwater Farms
  (if you want to bring your horse in for a lesson there is an additional $15 haul-in fee)
• $125 per lesson at your home barn
  (for locations within a 30-minute drive)

Lesson Package:

• 12-lesson package for $650
  (must be used within 90 days of purchase)

This program includes professional training for both horse and rider, along with complete care, management, and oversight of the horse’s overall well-being, conditioning, and maintenance.
