Whitney Iskenderian is the owner and head instructor of WTC Riding Lessons. She began her equestrian journey as an intern under a professional instructor, where she spent four years developing a strong foundation in horsemanship before transitioning into independent teaching. With more than seven years of instructional experience, Whitney established WTC Riding Lessons in 2024.
An active member of the equestrian community, Whitney has participated in a wide range of events and was recently honored as 1st Runner-Up at Miss Rodeo California. She is also passionate about coaching and mentoring local rodeo queens, helping riders build confidence both in and out of the arena.
Whitney specializes in beginner and intermediate western riding lessons, emphasizing a comprehensive, ground-up approach. Each lesson incorporates grooming, tacking, riding, and untacking, ensuring students gain a well-rounded understanding of horse care and responsibility.
Her goal is to equip riders with the skills and confidence needed to eventually own or lease their own horse. Recognizing that every student learns differently, Whitney tailors her instruction to meet individual needs while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Includes grooming, saddling, riding, and untacking in a one-hour setting. This is a great way to learn by watching others while building confidence in a supportive, social environment. For safety, riders are required to complete a few private lessons beforehand to ensure they are comfortable steering, stopping, and safely maneuvering around other horses. This also allows us to place each rider in a group with others of a similar skill level.

At WTC Riding Lessons, we host a range of special events throughout the year designed to help riders expand their skills, build confidence, and stay connected to the program. Our educational workshops explore the fundamentals of horse ownership and care, offering a great starting point for those looking to deepen their knowledge beyond weekly lessons.
We also offer kids and teen camps that create a fun, encouraging environment where riders can grow their abilities, gain confidence, and connect with others who share a passion for horses. These camps are also an excellent introduction to our program. In addition, rodeo queen coaching is available, focusing on horsemanship, confidence, and presentation skills.
We’re always adding new events, so be sure to follow us on social media to stay up to date.
